Distance: 375 km
We have travelled down South Island and back up again, so now it's on to Christchurch before heading north to cross over to North Island.
We wanted to visit the Church of the Good Shepherd which has a magnificent view of Lake Tekapo but it was closed to visitors on that particular day.

Back in Christchurch my husband visited his alma mater ie. University of Canterbury.

I was so thrilled to see a pipe organ in the chapel...in Malaysia the only pipe organ we have is in the Dewan Philharmonic.
A good way to see the city would be to take a ride on the tram from the Cathedral Square.

The Antarctic Centre is worth the visit...but time your visit well as you would need to spend about 3 hours there.
